Susan Siu Hung Chui Jong's Obituary
On Monday, May 3, 2021, Susan Siu-Hung Chui Jong, of Burlingame, loving mother of two children and two grandchildren, passed away at age 80.
Susan was born on December 17th, 1940 in Hong Kong. She attended Ying Wa Girls’ School and graduated in 1960. She then went on to study accounting and obtained her CPA licenses in both Hong Kong and Australia in 1968. On February 24, 1973, she married James Jong and they raised two daughters.
Susan was a sport enthusiast and played basketball, softball and volleyball as a youngster at Ying Wa Girls’ School and served as captain of the sports team. In her later years, she enjoys watching NFL games every Sunday, rooting for her favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. She loves gathering with family & friends over delicious food, and enjoys cooking elaborate Chinese dishes. Her other passion was tracking numbers and keeping her eyes on the stock market. She was known for her mental sharpness, her willingness to always be helpful, her kind, upbeat, can-do attitude and her resilient spirit.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband, James in July 2020. She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda & Winnie, and her grandsons, Aaron & Jacob.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at Skylawn Memorial on Hwy 92 at, CA-35 in San Mateo at 11 o’clock a.m.
In remembrance of Susan’s life, the family asks those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to ‘Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation.’

In the memo section of the check, please write ‘Cancer Center Fund for Complementary Care Services.’ During her 15-month long battle with pancreatic cancer, Susan found comfort in using both traditional and eastern medicine. She had acupuncture daily to lessen her side effects from chemotherapy & radiation. Your gift will help fund services at the Complementary Care Unit, offering other healing therapies to its patients.
