Suey Ho Leong's Obituary
Mr. Suey Ho Leong passed away peacefully on August 20th, 2014 at his home in San Francisco. His wish was to reside in his home until his passing. He was 78 years old. He is survived by his beloved wife Eva, his daughter Doris and her husband Frank; his son David and his wife Sophie; his daughter Diane and her husband Him; his daughter Daisy and her husband Waiman, his nine grandchildren; and elder brothers, Suey Ting and James.Mr. Suey Ho Leong was born in Guangzhou, China on March 24th, 1936. He immigrated to San Francisco, California through the sponsorship of his father, Yim Leong on March 19th, 1952. He attended high school in San Francisco and later worked as a waiter at Alioto’s Seafood Restaurant in Fisherman’s Wharf from 1952 to the 1960s.He was married to Eva Leong on December 30th, 1963. They were married for almost 51 years.He enjoyed being a Bay Area sports fan, especially watching the San Francisco 49ers during their Super Bowl years in the 80’s and 90’s and spending time with his family.There will be a celebration of Suey Ho’s life on Sunday, August 31st, at Skylawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:30am and the memorial service will begin at 11:30am.
