Yuen, Sue Yee's Obituary
Sue Yuen, affectionately known to her friends as Sue 姐, was a loving and devoted mother, a caring sister, and a cherished friend. She passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 73 years old.
Sue dedicated her life to loving and raising her sons Jonathan and Joshua, nurturing them to be caring, considerate individuals and becoming the successful young men that they are today. Her sons remember her as a doting mom who was a constant source of encouragement and support, empowering them to pursue their dreams.
To her siblings Pak, Polly, Chun, and Sherrie, Sue was a fun-loving big sister who was always watching over them and looking out for their best interests.
To the many friends Sue made along her life’s journey, she was genuine and generous, and she loved dining out. She was a familiar figure in many restaurants in the Bay Area.
Sue was an independent, successful businesswoman. She opened and operated multiple businesses and built one of the largest commercial laundry facilities in the Bay Area. She was forthcoming with her business associates and was fair and generous to her employees. She is admired for her business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
Sue’s life-long passion in philanthropy was widely recognized and she generously supported many charitable organizations.
She leaves a loving legacy of kindness, compassion, altruism, and charity.
