My heart goes out to Steve’s family and friends. Steve and I moved out to New York together from California. It was a great comfort to have him there. Steve helped me write my essay to get into the MFA program at SVA. One of my fondest memories together was driving around SF busting out a Manilli Vanilli tape. Trying to sing along and crying of laughter. I have always loved Steve and have wished him well.
I’m still trying to process the loss of such a great friend who was there to help me through a very dark time in my life. My thoughts are with his family at this time and I wish I was able to give them as much support as Steven gave to me. Steve was a bright and caring man with rare humanity and extensive knowledge, wit, and wisdom. He will forever be remembered and missed by everyone who knew him.
I wish to extend our most heartfelt condolences on behalf of me, my wife, and our children on the loss of Steven. I have had the privilege of knowing Mike, his surviving brother, very well over many years and fondly recall him saying so many great things about his brother. He was and is very proud and will no doubt miss his brother forever. Although Steve has now passed we must all keep his memory alive in our hearts and prayers.
Such a great man and I never met him personally but I sure felt the warmth of his heart. Steve, if you’re reading this we’re going to have a great big Chinese dinner together, chat , joke and consider the entire Universe. All in one sitting.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my condolence. Steve was a great co-worker and I enjoyed working with him. He had a great wit about him and he was very funny. We would often walk out of work together, Steve was always quick with a smile and a friendly hello. Steve will be missed.
I was very saddened to hear of Steve’s passing, and send my condolences to his family. I went to college with Steve and we were friends for many years. He was a brilliant guy, I loved to listen to him talk about music and books and art, and marveled at his “encyclopedia brain”. He was a dedicated artist and cartoonist and a very kind person who valued all of his friendships greatly. We miss him.
I’m shocked and saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. Steve worked with me at Felix the Cat Productions for several years… always creative, inventive and dedicated. I was proud of Steve when he moved to California and became a writer for Jimmy Kimmel… he was so talented. My sincere condolences to Steve’s family and friends.
