So Chun Yu Tsia's Obituary
So Chun Yu Tsia was born on June 6, 1930, in Shanghai, China. She was the middle child of four siblings. Throughout her life, she faced challenges that helped develop her resilience, wisdom, and strength that eventually defined her as our matriarch. She is survived by her children- Janny, Anthony, and John, and we hold David in our hearts. Her spirit lives on in her six grandchildren- Erica, Cynthia, Kristen, Winston, Amber, and Baron, and her three great-grandchildren- Kaylee, Kaden, and Evan.
For our grandmother, love was always a verb. She showed her love through her actions- and most often, it involved food. She was, without question, the best cook. It was through her home-cooked meals and our family gatherings that we always learned about the importance of family. She ensured that we’d continue our cultural customs and traditions through food.
To our matriarch: Thank you for everything, for the sacrifices you went through, the family gatherings you made, and the food that you prepared for us. We know you’ll always be with us. Thank you for raising us all.
We love you deeply, and we will miss you always.
