Shiao Shin Ren's Obituary
Shiao Shin Ren, aged 99, died of heart failure at home in San Carlos, CA, on April 24, 2018 at 2:13 am. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by family.Born on October 15, 1918 in Yi-Xing City of Jiangsu Province, China, she married Mr. Tin Ren in 1937. They became WWII displaced refugees when Japan invaded China and had to escape war-torn China from Jiangsu to Kunming to Chongqing, mostly on foot. Mr. and Mrs. Ren eventually set-up home in Taichung, Taiwan in 1946. In 1974, they migrated from Taiwan to California and settled in San Carlos, San Mateo County.Mrs. Ren is survived by two sons, two daughters, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.Her memorial service will be held on May 5, 2018 at 10:00 am at Skylawn Funeral Home in San Mateo, CA, followed by burial ceremony at 11:30 am in Bai Ling Yuan Cemetery.
