Sharon Karyl Saroyan's Obituary
Sharon Karyl Saroyan was born to Karl and Helen Emerzian on October 26, 1945 in Fresno, CA.At age 24, she married Richard Lawrence Saroyan and moved to San Francisco. They lovingly raised their 2 children together, Robyn and Richard. Sharon enthusiastically volunteered her time at her children’s elementary and middle schools, as well as the Lighthouse for the Blind. Not only did Sharon get to enrich the lives of children and those in need, she also formed very special friendships with other volunteers. Prior to their retirement, she owned a needlepoint shop in downtown San Mateo and was invited to the White House to celebrate her talent.She is survived by her son Richard Saroyan and daughter Robyn Nelson and 3 grandsons.Sharon passed away peacefully on February 22, 2019 in Redwood City with her son, Richard, by her side.
