Shirley lives forever! She is with her maker and that is good! No more pain, no more suffering for her, she has a brand new body fit for an eternal and joyful life! Dear Lawrence and Mathew. I am so sorry for the loss of your Wife/Mother. She was such a strong lady who held on this past year on the strength of love she had so much for the both of you. Mathew, you were the light of her “being”. Every time she came into the Union Hall, she spoke so much about her family and Her love of the Lord. When I spoke to her a few weeks ago, she told me she is doing better. She told me she could no longer see. She seemed okay with that because she was home with her loved ones. I am so glad I knew her. Never forget . . when your heart is heavy, your Mother is thinking of you. She will always be looking down on you and Lawrence. She will always live on through the both of you. Its hard to believe that you are gone. It was only last july we spent few days in Vancouver but the days we shared as kids will always be remenbered.Our hour long talks on the phone. Made me realise how god loving person you were.God only picks the best of the best.you are gone but will not be forgotten.People we love don’t away. They are here unseen unheard ,always near, still loved, still missed, very dear. Rest in peace Shirley.May god grant you peace and love as on earth so in heaven. Today we celebrate Shirley’s life. The Lord gives us many gifts and Shirley is one of them. She had a heart of gold, beautiful inside and out. She is the strongest person I have ever met and through her life I have learned to hold on, no matter what. Her faith sustained her through many difficult times and it never faltered. She knew who her God was and now rests peacefully and whole in His loving arms. We will miss Shirley, however her legacy lives on by the example she set and the affect she has had on so many people. My prayers are with her family especially but also all of those who knew her because knowing her means you you’ve been touched with the love of a special, classy lady. God Bless you today. My deepest condolences to Lawrence, Matthew and the rest of the family. I know you will miss her dearly. And I know that GodÃ¢â?¬â?¢s love and peace will get you thru these difficult times.. I also know that the memories will warm your heart and the echo of her laughter will make you smile. I remember when I first met Shirley I thought she was shy, quiet and very reserved. Then I got to know her and found out she was the complete opposite. She loved to talk and loved to share. She would tell stories of her life, her husband and son, her familyÃ¢â?¬Â¦ the blessings and the struggles. She talked of hard times that made you admire her tenacity. When you visited her home, she made you feel so welcomed and so loved. She was a loving person, who adored her family and loved her church. Most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you ever walked in the nursery when she was there you would have also witnessed that love. You saw it when she held the babies, talked to them and even when she had to clean them up.I will remember all these things about her, but what I will remember the most is her unfailing, unbroken, unshattered faith. She loved the Word and stood on it thru everything.
