Shahin Rezvani's Obituary
Shahin Rezvani was born on December 8, 1941 in Tehran, Iran to Mostafa Rezvani and Shokat Shemirani. She grew up with her older sister, Mahin, and younger siblings, Homa, Farideh, Vahid, Saiid, and Hamid.
In her youth in Iran, she would play endlessly with her siblings outdoors, and was part of the national Iranian ping-pong team where she would travel internationally for tournaments. Earlier in her career, she worked as a high school athletic instructor. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Nasser Rezvani, and welcomed 3 children between 1966 to 1977: Firozeh, Farhad, and Tannaz.
Shahin and her family emigrated from Iran in 1984 and eventually settled in Belmont which was their home for the past 37 years. It was there where she started her career as a librarian at San Mateo Library until retirement. In her day-to-day life, Shahin and Nasser enjoyed walking along the water in Foster City and the Crystal Springs Reservoir, as well as going to the gym. As her condition deteriorated through the years, she would always look for him and hold his hand.
Shahin loved everything family, art, cooking, shopping and entertaining. She enjoyed photography and oil painting, and would paint portraits of her family and nature. She also loved having warm and elaborate gatherings at home with friends and families, making amazing pastries and traditional food.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Nasser Rezvani; three kids, Firozeh Rezvani (partner Nick), Farhad Rezvani (wife Dena), and Tannaz Newell (husband Richard); 4 grandchildren, Tala, Shayan, Soren, and Savina; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her beyond words.
