Shahin Dokht Jalali's Obituary
Mrs. Shahin Dokht Jalali, the heart and soul of her family, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024, at the age of 78 in Palo Alto, California. Born in Isfahan, Iran, to Touran Dokht and Taghi Jalali, Shahin was the eldest of nine siblings, affectionately known as "The Chief" and a role model and second mother to her brothers and sisters.
Shahin married Jalal D. Shirazi early in life and devoted herself to raising her three children and cherished stepson. Their lives unfolded primarily in Tehran (Iran), Aachen, (Germany), and Menlo Park (CA).
Shahin's legacy of love extends through her children, Kereshmeh, Kamran, Negar, and Masoud D. Shirazi, and her seven grandchildren: Shahin, Vanessa, Nikan, Alex, Sabrina, Charles, and James.
Beyond her family devotion, Shahin was a self-taught artist, capturing cherished portraits of her family on canvas. Her artistic talents weren't limited to portraits; she found joy in recreating classic images and bringing nature indoors with her magical green thumb. Her love of gardening wasn't confined to houseplants; she cultivated vibrant flowers that brightened the lives of those around her.
Shahin's love for life extended far beyond art. She was a passionate cook, delighting those around her with delicious meals. Traveling to new places and exploring different cultures brought her immense joy. Most of all, Shahin cherished gatherings with friends and family. Her stunning natural beauty and warm hearted personality were admired by everyone at every gathering.
Shahin’s beauty, bravery, kindness, and generosity were renowned by all who knew her. Her absence leaves a profound void, and she will be deeply missed.
