Serafino Triolo passed March 18th 2015 at the age of 78. He was a resident of San Mateo for over 50 years and the original owner of Santini’s restaurant in San Mateo where he was famously known for making the best pizza and Italian food in town from 1970-1980. Everyone knew him as “Sal from Santini’s”. Serafino is survived by his beloved wife Maria of 52 years and his 2 adoring children Vira and Sebastian (also known as V and Benny). Serafino was extremely passionate about his family , his dear friends and his amazing talent for growing fruits and vegetables in his garden. Many may know him from his many years as a member of the Beresford Community Garden Club where he was admired for his extraordinary ability to grow varieties. He will forever hold a very special place in the hearts of all who knew him. He was gracious, humble and a thoughtful man who was taken from us too soon. All will dearly miss him.
