He is survived by his daughter Jian, son Wenkai Vincent, grandchildren Joanna, Arthur, Kevin, Jake, great-grandson Leo, and his brothers in Wuxi.
Sendu was born on April 6, 1937 in Wu-xi, China. At a young age, Mr. Xiang had aspirations of exploring the world and going on adventures. He moved from the rural side of Wuxi, to the big city, Shanghai, to further his education. Although he was prevented from attending university due to health conditions, he was still determined to succeed professionally. His dedication and diligence led him to a position as principal for decades in Zhou-jia-du and Dong-Jia-du Elementary Schools. He then became general affairs manager at several middle schools before retiring from his beloved career in education at the age of 65. In his retirement, he began to travel between China and the U.S. to spend precious time with his children and grandchildren. Sendu became a great-grandfather just four months before his passing. His infectious smile, keen wisdom, futuristic vision and ambition for a better life will live on the hearts and minds of his loving family and friends.
