Scott Douglas Starrett's Obituary
Scott Douglas Starrett was born on January 21, 1961 in Arcadia, California. He passed away on April 25, 2021 from heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City, California.
Scott moved to Foster City, California with his parents and older brother in 1971. He attended Park Elementary School in San Mateo; Bowditch Middle School in Foster City; San Mateo High School in San Mateo; and Pasadena College of Chiropractic in Southern California. Upon graduation, Scott practiced with his older brother, Randy, in Belmont, California before opening his own practice, Laurelwood Chiropractic in San Mateo in 1989. Shortly thereafter, Scott became known as “Doc Scott”.
He is survived by his son, Aaron Ray Starrett; mother, Jackie Lee Starrett; sister Sandra Lee (Steve) Hawley-Odessky; and brother Randall Craig (Diane) Starrett. He is preceded in death by his father, George Sylvester Starrett, and his sons Sean Sylvester Starrett and Steven MacKenzie Starrett.
Scott’s life was filled with unusual interests and experiences, many of which are a pleasure and of comfort to remember.
A private service for family will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, California.
