Sara Cuvi (Coyota)
Sara Cuvi, affectionately known as Coyota, passed away on July 20, 2024, in Menlo Park, CA. Born and raised in El Salvador, Sara pursued a career as a secretary before moving to the United States.
Sara had a passion for listening to music, gardening, and beauty care. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony S. Cuvi, and her cherished daughter, Fatima Cuvi-Flores. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Anthony C. Flores and David A. Flores, and her siblings, Jose Ricardo Velázquez and Gloria Marina Velázquez de Barahona.
Sara will join her mother, Esperanza Velázquez; her father, Miguel Valdez; her brother, Rene A. Velázquez; her grandmother, Rosa Amelia Velázquez; and her aunts, Erminia Velázquez de Barrera and Paula Lilian Barrera, in heaven.
A service to honor and celebrate Sara’s life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Skylawn Memorial Park, located at Highway 92 and Skyline Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94402. Following the service, a Dove Ceremony will take place at 1:00 PM.
Flowers may be delivered to Skylawn Memorial Park in her memory.
Sara will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
