Ruth Knott's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Knott, 84, died peacefully at her home in Bakersfield, CA, on Sunday, September 18, 2011.She resided in Bakersfield for the last 5 years but was previously a resident of the Bay Area for over 30 years.She is survived by her sister, Billy Smittle, of Broken Arrow, OK; her children, Robert Podratz and Joyce, of Bakersfield; Lewis Podratz and Ruby, of Sunnyvale; Charlene Avery and Jack, of San Mateo; and her step-son, Jeff Knott and Sheri, of Alhambra, CA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Robert and Chris Podratz and Nikki Love of Tehachapi, CA; Jason Avery, Phillip Caughell, and Sadie Fischer of San Mateo; and Jenna Rositas and Jackie Fraizer of Sunnyvale. She was also loved and will be missed by numerous great-grandchildren and by loving nieces and nephews in Oklahoma.Services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, beginning with viewing from noon to 2:00 p.m. and followed by a graveside service officiated by Rick Plain at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be her son, Robert Podratz, grandsons Robert and Chris Podratz, Jason Avery, Phillip Caughell, and son-in-law, Jack Farrell.
