Ruth E. B. Owen's Obituary
Our Ruth passed away at The Terraces of Los Altos at the age of 95. She is dearly missed.Her husband of 62 years, William H. Owen, Jr also died at the age of 95 in the Spring of 2007. Her parents, The Reverend Bruce K. Blunt and Myrtle Ross Blunt, and her brother, Stanley Philip Blunt, preceded her in death as well.She is survived by her three children Phyllis Amundsen of Rogue River, OR, William H. Owen III (Kathleen) of Los Altos Hills, CA and Marian J. Owen Simonson (Rick) of Eagle River, AK; by her four grandchildren David Amundsen (Paulina) of San Fernando La Union, Philippines, Robyn Amundsen Whitlock (Paul) of Naperville, IL, Nicole Simonson Hulick (Justin) of Gunnison, CO, Lindsay Simonson Davidson (Daniel) of New Castle, CO; by her six great grandchildren Jonah Amundsen, Andrew, Bryce & Benjamin Whitlock and Abigail & Charlotte Hulick; by her two nieces Beverly Blunt Haring & Nancy Blunt Green of Colorado; and by Jeffrey Amundsen of Holland, MI.A memorial service is planned at The First Baptist Church of Palo Alto, CA on Sunday, November 4th at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. She will be interred at the Skylawn Memorial Park.
