There are so many fond memories of Ruth and Don who touched our lives through their ministry at Grace in the Young Marrieds Class. You modeled to all of us how to love others as Christians. Kathy and I both remember the kind and loving care Ruth gave us as I went through back surgery here in Peoria. We also still talk about the great Christmas parties for the class and Don and Ruth?s house. Don, we are sorry to hear about Ruth?s passing, but at the same time rejoice to know she is home with the Lord and to know that someday we will be joining her there. I can?t wait to hear about your adventures in the motorhome. That?s always been a dream for Kathy and me. Love you guys, John and Kathy Spuler

I worked many years with Ruth, both in the SON and back in the clinical setting. I enjoyed reading the obituary and whoever wrote it put a lot of love and memories in it. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Don and the rest of the family. May our Lord grant you His comfort and strength! My wife Karen and I had the privilege of being in the Young Marrieds Sunday School Class which Don and Ruth taught. One of the many open houses they hosted, Ruth had made a delicious dessert called Snow Flake Pudding. It was the best! Karen asked Ruth for the recipe and Ruth kindly shared it. It has become a favorite traditional dessert we have had at Christmas times since then. We always think of Don and Ruth with fond memories when we have it.
