Russell Edward Teasdale's Obituary
Russ Teasdale passed away following a stroke after a 3 year period of illness.
A fiercely independent man, Mr. Teasdale was born in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He obtained a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, a M.A. from Columbia University, and graduated from Stanford University Law School, Class of 1958. Prior to attending Stanford Law School he served as an officer in the United States Air Force and thereafter had a life-long interest in aviation. He had a varied career including as a practicing attorney, an investment banker, and finished his career as in-house counsel at an early bio-tech company in the Silicon Valley. He lived a life active of mind and simple in lifestyle, spending many years of retirement writing. His happiest years were spent living in Palo Alto on Old Page Mill Road. He also spent six years in Pocasset, Massachusetts, caring for his Aunt, Ruth Teasdale.
Mr. Teasdale was survived by his two sons, Russell Teasdale, of Pacifica, California, Scot Teasdale, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and four grandchildren, Richard, Rebecca, William, and Evelyn, of Scottsdale, Arizona. He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Teasdale, his father, Russell C. Teasdale, and his brother Robert Teasdale.
He will be buried in a private service at Skylawn Cemetery on Wednesday January 29, 2020, with a Memorial Service to be held later.
