Rosie Yu's Obituary
Rosie Yu passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, at her home. She was born June 28, 1934 in Rangoon, Burma. Rosie immigrated to the United States in 1974 and resided in San Francisco, CA for over 50 years. She loved her husband. Shee Fen, and together they raised six children who blessed them with twelve grandchildren. Family was her greatest joy, but Rosie had a deep Christian faith and was devoted to her church community. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: cooking and hosting many events for her congregation. She loved singing in her church choir, especially during the Christmas season, caroling at church members’ houses. She cherished her times with friends and family during the many special occasions and celebrations. Rosie had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her children (William, Suzie, Tommy, Serena, and Jeannie), grandchildren (Frank, Tina, Christopher, Timothy, Carmyna, Tyler, Travis aka Eva, Charlie, Ethan, Sev, and Kyle). Family, friends, and all whose lives Rosie touched are invited to the Skylawn Funeral Home, 888 Lifemark Road, Half Moon Bay, CA from 10 am -4pm for memorial service, burial & reception.
