Rose Marie Patane's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce that Rose Marie Patane has died peacefully at her home in Redwood City, CA on May 11, 2023. She was born on February 23, 1923 to Josephine Ternullo (Sarpossa) and Louis Ternullo. She lived to the incredible age of 100. She was the center of our family and family was her life. Rose grew up in San Francisco and graduated from Balboa High School in 1939. After graduation she worked at Levis Strauss for several years. During that time Rose lived in the North Beach District, where she met her future husband Vincent Patane. They were married at Saint Peter and Paul's Catholic Church during World War II. Soon after, they moved to San Carlos where she lived in the home they bought for 68 years.
Together with her sisters and their families, Rose enjoyed going to the beach, camping at Lake Tahoe, and picnic lunches in the park. Rose worked at Ampex as a contract Administrator for 30 years until she retired in 1985. After retirement, Rose enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, attending the dances at the senior center, playing bingo and most of all playing cards with her family. She will be greatly missed!
Rose is preceded in death by her late husband Vincent Patane. Along with her sisters and their husbands: Connie and Fred Zangrillo, Teresa and Dominic Passanisi, MaryJean and Dominic Spinali, as well as her son in law Zummer Shipman.
