Rosario Ison Balenbin's Obituary
Rosario Ison Balenbin, 96, of Daly City, CA passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
She was born in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, to Nicanor Sr. and Magdalena Ison, and was the eldest of eight siblings. In 1966, Rosario, her husband, Jose Sr., and her six children legally immigrated to the United States and became US citizens in 1971.
While raising her family, she worked full-time for Bank of America for 30+ years and retired in the mid-1980s. She was a devoted mother and loved by her children (Baltazar, Eduardo Sr., Ruben Sr., Reynaldo, Elizabeth, Jose Jr. and Maria), her 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved visiting with family members, and would often be found at a bingo hall or playing mahjong at family gatherings.
Rosario is survived by her sister, Magdalena and was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Sr.; her children, Baltazar and Elizabeth; and siblings, Nicanor Jr., Dolores, Edgardo, Amelia, Virginia, and Arceo.
A celebration of life event will be held at a future date. Family members will be sent more details as the date gets closer. Her family would like to thank everyone for the wonderful prayers, thoughts, and donations
