Rosalie V. Magee's Obituary
Rosalie Magee, aged 93, of Millbrae, California, died on December 6, 2013.She was born in December of 1919 in San Francisco, California to Salvatore and Vicensa D’Amato. When her father passed away in a fishing accident when she was just two years old, she and her younger sister were blessed with a new father when her mother married Salvatore Morales. She graduated from Balboa High School in San Francisco. On June 1, 1941 she married Kenneth Magee, literally the boy next door. They had one daughter, Rochelle.Rosalie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to her family. She gave of herself to looking after those she cared about her entire life. Rosalie was there to assist her mother and stepfather with the care of her younger sisters when it was required. She was diligent in giving her husband and daughter the best she could provide in love, attention and delicious food. She volunteered consistently at church, school and lodge activities during her lifetime as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her daughter, granddaughters and great-grandsons have numerous fond memories of the big and little things she did with and for them.Rosalie and Kenneth enjoyed a full life together, traveling the world, making friends wherever they went. They loved to dance together and entertain their family and many friends. They maintained close, life-long relationships with those individuals as far back as schoolmates and wedding party.Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Rochelle Mullen, granddaughters, Christine Ortiz and Leigh Leigh Ann Fraley, great-grandsons Calvin Fraley, Kaden Ortiz and Cody Ortiz, and sisters Theodora Fazzini and Frances Lococo. She was predeceased by husband, Kenneth Magee in 2007 and sister Virginia Morales in 1998.The viewing, service and funeral will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Skylawn Memorial Park at Skyline Blvd. and Highway 92 in San Mateo, California.
