Rosalie V. Gamlin's Obituary
Rosalie (Beasley) Gamlin, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2019 just short of her 99th birthday. Born on May 21, 1920 in Linton Indiana she was the only child of Arthur and Pearlee (Page) Beasley. Raised on a farm Rosalie spent a carefree childhood helping her dad and mom with farm chores, enjoying her studies, sledding in the winter and fishing with her dad in the summers.After high school Rosalie attended the University of Indiana and eventually made her way to San Mateo California where she met her husband Leonard Gamlin. Rosalie and Len moved to San Carlos in 1956 where they raised their family along with owning and running Foodville Market on Laurel Street. Rosalie found relaxation by showing off her green thumb in both her home garden and by raising award winning African Violets. After retiring Rosalie and Len enjoyed traveling mostly via RV and often traveling in to Mexico.Rosalie is survived by her four children Linda Gerling, Paulette (John) Tucker, Paul (Anne) Gamlin and Sharon (Thom) Macway. She was a wonderful and loving grandmother to Tammy, Connie, Debbie, Dennis, Jeffrey, Damion, Justine, Christopher, Scott, Jeremy, Heather, Ami, Katie, Greg and Beckii. She also has 25 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service on Saturday February 2 at 11 a.m.
