Rosa Amelia Pezo's Obituary
Beloved mother , nana, devoted wife , sister , aunt, and friend, Rosa Amelia lived a full life. Born in Peru she worked for an insurance company before marrying Alcibiades Pezo and had two daughters. Inspired by a promise of an abundant life they made the journey to the United States and settled in the California Bay Area. A daughter and son later Rosa Amelia went back to school and earned her associates degree in Cosmetology, winning first prize recognitions in hair cutting and artistic design. Shortly she was inspired to go into the medical field and completed her certification to become a medical assistant for Peninsula Hospital from which she retired. Always creative, she enjoyed playing the piano , crafts, and sewing . She continued her creative growth later in life as she learned to oil paint, knit, and crochet. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge with all her children. She was a gentle spirit that enjoyed serving as a Eucharistic minister at St Dunstan Church always in faith and open to lend an ear. A World traveler , agile and graceful dancer , with a sweet voice and tender demeanor , precious to all she will be sincerely missed. She is survived by her children Mariella Birkle, Rose Lappinga, Peggy Marinaro, and Lester Pezo . Their spouses Tom Birkle, Al Lappinga, Frank Marinaro, and Chrisoula Pezo. Her Grandchildren, Daniel Birkle, Sophie Marinaro, Mitchell Marinaro , Niko Pezo , Amy Lappinga, & Anastasia Pezo. And her siblings 1 sister and 3 brothers, plus many nieces and nephews , grandnieces , & grand nephews.We were blessed to have her in our lives and the memories we shared will always be remembered in our hearts.If considering memorial contributions, please make donations in Rosa’s name to Saint Dunstan Catholic Church or Saint Jude’s Children’s hospital.
