Ronil Mehta's Obituary
Ronil Mehta passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family in eternal love on September 1st 2018 at the age of 14 years, after battling DIPG Brain Cancer.He was born in Fremont, California and finished his education till the 9th grade. He is survived by his parents, Manisha and Milan, younger brother, Sahil and grandparents on both sides. He was the most loving son to his parents and an awesome big brother to Sahil and an amazing friend to allHe fought his cancer like a warrior for 31 months with great courage, positive attitude and a persistent passion for life despite all the challenges he faced since diagnosis till the very end. He never complained about this brutal journey or ever lost his spirit. He has touched and inspired many people by the way he handled his fight with a smile on his face and he never gave up.Ronnie, as he was fondly called by everyone, was a very happy, adventurous, fun loving teenager. He excelled in school and liked taking part in sports like swimming, basketball, ice skating, skiing, karate and was also in the Baseball little league team. He was always interested in music and used to take piano lessons. He was very self-less and cared more about others than himself and was a perfect example of a Boy Scout. He loved the outdoors and would go hiking or seek thrill seeking activities like sky diving or snowmobiling even after he was diagnosed. His favorite past time activities were playing video games, watching funny videos, satirical current affairs news show and he loved to read and travel.Everyone is proud of the young man he became and the memories made with him are worth a lifetime which will cherished forever.A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Skylawn Memorial Park, Highway 92 and Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94402 in the Crystal Springs chapel.
