Romeo L. Lagman's Obituary
Romeo Limson Lagman, 72, of Streamwood, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 21st, 2016. Born May 8th, 1943, the eldest of 8 children from San Fernando, Pampanga in the Philippines lived most of his life in Pacifica, California until moving to the Chicago area in 2005 for work.Romeo was a hardworking, intelligent engineer who studied Chemical Engineering finishing at the top of his class from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines. Romeo worked at Bechtel, Contra Costa Water District, City of Brisbane, Daly City, Palo Alto, Sunol, and San Francisco, United Airlines, and finally with City of Chicago Department of Water Management. In his spare time, Romeo loved to travel, watch TV (especially the Science & History Channels), admired science & technology and NASA; likes golf; read magazines, eat dark chocolate and fresh lumpia, admired airplanes and electric cars, collected coins and travel magnets, and listened to Ricky Nelson, The Beatles, and Elvis.Romeo was extremely loving and proud of his two children, Romeo II (Ron) and Regina and her husband Geraldo of Pacifica, California. He is also survived by his only granddaughter, Marisa Anne Lagman Cruz; beloved wife Morena; sisters Lolita Lagman Mandel of Oak Harbor, Washington, Elizabeth Lagman, Marita Lagman, and brothers Allan and Robert Lagman of the Philippines; as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, colleagues, friends and neighbors.The family will welcome guests at Church of the Good Shepherd, 901 Oceana Boulevard, Pacifica, CA 94044 at 10am followed by burial at Skylawn Memorial Park, Hwy 92 at Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94402.
