1947-2025
Roberto Castellanos Clavel passed away on the morning of February 22, 2025, at his home in Redwood City, California, at the age of 77. During his final days, he was surrounded by the love and prayers of his devoted family.
He was born on August 21, 1947, in Tizapan el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico, to Clemente Castellanos Bejar and Emilia Clavel Valenzuela. His hardworking parents dedicated themselves to agriculture, barbering, and commerce. From a young age, Roberto joined his father in working the land. On March 3, 1969, he married the love of his life, Maria Esther, and together they built a beautiful family. This year, they would have celebrated 56 years of marriage.
In the 1980s, Roberto made the difficult decision to emigrate to California in search of a better future for his family. He worked tirelessly to establish a new life. In 1986, he was finally able to reunite his family in the United States, fulfilling his dream of providing a brighter future for his wife and children.
Roberto founded his own painting business, which, through hard work and sacrifice, grew and thrived for over 30 years. His work ethic, commitment to quality, and loyalty to his clients were the cornerstones of his success. His business was a source of pride, as it allowed him to provide for his family with love and dedication—something he always considered his greatest achievement.
Beyond his love for work, Roberto had a deep passion for soccer. He loved playing the sport and fulfilled his dream of being part of the local team in Mexico, “Cardenales”. This love for soccer was something he shared with his children, creating cherished memories that will last forever. Music was his gift, his joy, and his legacy. His guitar was never far from his hands, and his home was always filled with the warmth of his songs. Through his music, he expressed his love and left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those who listened.
Roberto was preceded in death by his parents, Clemente and Emilia, and his siblings, Sergio, Graciela, and Emilia. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Esther, along with their nine children: Nancy, Clemente, Ana, Javier, Sergio, Roberto, Rocio, Norma, and Maria.
