Robert Edward Ruffin's Obituary
Robert (Rob) Ruffin went home to Jesus on May 29, 2020 at age 53. He passed away peacefully at his home in Antioch, CA.
Rob came into this world on July 23, 1966 and was raised by his parents, Aleta Guy Ruffin and Eugene Ruffin in Detroit, MI, then on to Southern California and finally Texas, where he graduated from High School. From being Selwyn High School’s Valedictorian, earning his Bachelors at Harvard University, to a very successful business career in numerous fields, Rob was a true renaissance man who excelled in everything he did. Rob had numerous interests and accomplishments, but truly loved sports, cooking, wine and entertaining, reading, traveling and was an avid movie and tv buff.
Rob met his wife, Rose while both were working at Wells Fargo, and they were married in 2012 in Paris, France.
Rob joins his mother Aleta in heaven. He is survived by his father Eugene, his wife Rosemarie, his siblings, Tamara Ruffin Martin, Shelly Martella, Tori Ruffin, Michelle Parker, Michelle Elliree, Gregory Ruffin, Gene Ruffin-Cooper, Christina Alyson Maldonado, and Mario Smith, his children, Mia and Isiah Ruffin, his step-children Ryan Villanueva (Diamond) and Nathan Guila, and his step-grandchildren, Ryan Jr. and Violet Villanueva.
Memorial Services for Rob will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Highway 92 at Skyline Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94402 (650-349-4411).
