Robert John Martinez's Obituary
Robert John Martinez was born March 30, 1933 to Samuel and Ruth Martinez, the youngest of four children. He was raised on a grape ranch in Clovis, CA, where he learned very early on the value of hard work and community. He loved his childhood surrounded by the ranchers community.Robert left Clovis in 1953 when he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he was trained as an Aviation Specialist. He was very proud to serve his country in the Korean War. Shortly after his honorable discharge in 1957, he went on to work for United airlines, where his training in the army served his career as a Lead mechanic for 37 years.Once settled in San Bruno with his career taking off he met and fell in love with Esther Avila. The two married and had three children John, Adriana, and Marina. They shared a wonderful life together with their children and three grandchildren until Esther’s passing in 2006. Robert was fortunate to find love again with Socorro Renteria. The two married and moved to Martinez, Ca where they shared a wonderful life together for 12 years surrounded by Marina, his nephew Larry and his wife, Conchita and their son Pablo before his passing on December 10, 2019.He will be laid to rest on December 16,2019.
