Robert Rudolph Kubista's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Kubista a residence of Chico, California passed away at the age of 80 years old on March 2, 2018 from organ failure.He was born into Rudolph and Elizabeth Kubista on October 11, 1937 in Ross, Ohio.He graduated from Rossford High School, Ohio. He received a Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, 35 years of service to the US Government. He was an Army Staff Sergeant and civil service manager. He volunteered at the Cliff House providing tours for many years and in the City of San Francisco. He was an avid gadget collector, furniture making, loved animals and collected stuffed animals.Bob was also an active member of Shinnyo-en, Buddhist order (Redwood City, California) for many years.He married Hatsuko on April 5, 1974 in Okinawa, Japan.He is survived by his stepdaughters, Kuniko Matsumoto (Okinaway, Japan), Tomoko Lance (Chico, California); grandchildren, Sayaka Matsumoto (Okinaway, Japan), Arthur Lance (Chico, California); In-law, Mark Lance (Chico, California) and his sibling Betty Mclaughlin (Ellenton, Florida).He will be missed but never forgotten.
