My heart is heavy with sadness, with the passing of my Uncle Rich. My love and prayers are with my Aunt Joyce and family.
Uncle Rich was a very special person in my life and revered by everyone in our family. I have so many amazing memories of our times together as a little girl and as a grown adult, from family gatherings, and just our time visiting and talking on every subject you can think about. He had a full life and so many memories and stories he would share with the family, from his early years in Omaha, and everything in between. I loved the stories, and always encouraged him to write them down for us. A fun and scary memory was one winter night in Omaha, when I was about six years old, the family went out one night to go tobogganing, and three of us got on the toboggan, my dad in the front, me in the middle, and my Uncle Rich behind me. As we set off down the hill, all of a sudden we were airborne, at least 6 feet off the ground, and my Uncle Rich yelled out “Pam don’t move”, I didn’t move an inch, and we landed safely. I’ll never forget how safe I felt between my dad and my uncle that night! Uncle Rich, has always been my cheerleader!
I know Uncle Rich knew the Lord Jesus as his savior, and we are only separated by time, but will be together with family in eternity. I always told him if he got to Heaven first, to save me a seat at the table with the rest of the family! We miss you! Love & Prayers, Pam & Joseph Tellez
