Richard E. Browning's Obituary
Richard Browning or Pops as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren, aged 73, of San Bruno California died at Kaiser Hospital South San Francisco on Sunday August 10, 2014. He was born on October 3, 1940 in Treece, Kansas to Richard and Marion Browning. He graduated from Capuchino High School in 1958. He married Kathleen Browning on June 18, 1966 in Reno Nevada. Rich always believed that his greatest accomplishments were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was extremely proud of all of them and took great pride in all their accomplishments.Rich was an avid reader, I don’t believe there was ever a time when he couldn’t be found with a book and later his nook within arm’s reach. Through good times and bad Rich was a loyal San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49er fan. Rich was proud to be a Free Mason and the time he spent learning their beliefs. He loved learning about anyone’s beliefs whether he agreed with them or not. He would spend hours listening to people explain their beliefs and ask questions if he didn’t understand something. He was a kind and loving man.Rich is survived by his wife, Kathy Browning, his sister Sharon Logue, his children Kelly and Rod Cummins, Carrie Lyons, Michelle and Dwayne Sherwin and Michael and Heidi Browning, his grandchildren Erin, Tyler, Scott, Bryanna, Jessica, Amber, Juliette, Leigh’Anne, Catherine, Jonathan, Richard and Savanah, his 13 great grandchildren, his sister and brother in laws Barbara Lozar, Fran Lozar, Pat Ramos and Steve Lozar, his niece Melissa and nephews Stephen, Christopher and Donald.A service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 3:00pm at Skylawn Memorial Park.
