Renard "Andy" Bernard Anderson's Obituary
Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Renard “Andy” Bernard Anderson, age 92, passed away peacefully with family surrounding him on September 8, 2015 following a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Josephine “Jo” Anderson, their son Renard “Ren” John Anderson and their daughter Renene Jeanette Aubert (Anderson) their spouses respectfully, Terry Anderson and Steven Aubert, Sr. He loved his grandchildren Nicole (Aubert) Stokes, Steven Aubert, Jr, Sherine Aubert, Danielle Anderson, Zachary Anderson, and his great-grandchildren Alyssa Aubert and Morganne Aubert, Granddaughter in Law Jana Aubert. Andy was born and raised in Turlock, California. He was a World War II hero with the elite 10th Mountain Division Army Ski Troops and played a decisive role on the front lines driving the Nazis from Italy. In the early 1950 Andy and Jo moved to the bay area to attend and graduate from San Jose State University. He had several careers in his amazing life time from opera singer, music teacher, standard station owner, and plant coordinator of several schools in the Sequoia Union High School District. Andy and Jo were married for 70 years and celebrated their anniversary on September 2nd. He was an active member of the San Carlos Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Burlingame, CA. and Asiya Shriner’s, San Mateo. His passion was the outdoors where he enjoyed his cabin in the mountains, skiing, biking, fishing and hiking which he did into his latter life. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life going to the beach and having a lunch with his family and traveling in his trailer.
