Raymour J. Esposto Jr.'s Obituary
Raymour J. Esposto, Jr. died peacefully in his home December 9, 2019.
Ray is survived by his children Hilary and Raymour III, siblings Sharon (Joe), Gene (Jeanette), Bill (Judy), Danny, Debbie (Ridge) and Wendy, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He preceded in death by his beloved parents Ray Sr. and Dee Esposto.
Ray was born September 10, 1949 and was a lifelong resident of San Mateo. He was raised in Shoreview and attended Horrall Elementary, Bayside Middle and San Mateo High Schools where he graduated in 1967. He worked weekends at his Dad’s business Esposto’s Red Carpet Catering as a teenager well into adulthood. He was able to take his life-long passion for cars and turn it in to a successful automobile business. For over 30 years you could find Ray at the corner of Norfolk and 3rd Avenue at A-1 Radiator fixing cars. His hobbies included (someday) restoring his 1955 Chevy Nomad, racing dune buggies with his family and friends in the deserts throughout Northern California and Nevada with VORRA and rooting on his favorite football team – the Green Bay Packers.
Services for Ray will be held Friday, January 10 at Skylawn Memorial at 11:00. Reception will be held following inurnment at the Burlingame Lion’s Club, 990 Burlingame Ave., Burlingame. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to San Mateo County Health Association, 222 W. 39th Avenue, San Mateo, CA 94403 in his memory.
