Raymond Francis' Obituary
Raymond Francis, aged 92, of San Leandro died on July 14, 2016.He was born April 24, 1924 in Oakland, CA. He attended schools in Oakland and graduated from Castlemont High School. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a gunner on a B-17 in Europe earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and 3 oak leaf clusters. After the war he worked at the Brockway Glass Company as a pattern maker until his retirement in 1980. Raymond was a member in good standing with the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers, AFL-CIO Local 155 during his working career.In retirement he followed the local east bay sports teams, bowled, played a little golf and was an avid walker.Raymond is preceded in death by his brother and sister and is survived by his nephew.
