Ratnawati Lie's Obituary
We want to share with you our Mom’s Funeral and Celebration with the Lord.Ratnawati Lie, age 86 went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2016. She left peacefully and comfortably. She is lovingly remembered by many family and friends.Ratnawati Lie aka Qiū jīn yè (丘 金葉) was born on December 8th, 1930 in Medan, Indonesia. She was happily married to Margono Lie (陳 存洲) for over 50 years and was blessed with three children and 6 grandchildren. She lived most of her life in Medan, island of Sumatera in Indonesia, and the last twenty years of her life between USA and Indonesia.Ratnawati enjoyed spending time with family, grandkids, watching movies, knitting/crocheting, bingo at senior center, sharing motherly advice and telling lots of stories. She was always caring and devoted, especially to her family. She was a very talented seamstress and a remarkable home maker.She is survived by her 3 children: daughter Maitjian, spouse Todd Welke and children (Carter and Allyson); daughter Aivi, spouse Handi Santosa and children (Samantha and Jamie), son TiongTek Lie, spouse Thalia and children (Jane and William).The Funeral Service, Burial and Reception will be held on Sunday April 10th, 2016, 10:00am at the Skylawn Memorial Park 100 Lifemark Rd. (Highway 92 at Skyline Boulevard) San Mateo, CA, 94402 (650) 437-1986The funeral service will be followed by light luncheon at 1:00pm in the residence of daughter Maitjian and Todd Welke located at: 13551 La Paz Way, Saratoga, CA 95070 (408)867-6149
