I worked with Ranney at Ford Aerospace and Lockheed Martin. After retirement we continued to keep in contact through our membership in Sons In Retirement and in their bowling activity. Conversations with Ranney was always entertaining especially with his honest opinions and sharp wit. It was such a shock to learn of his passing. On behalf of his friends and associates at Lockheed Martin and SIR we express our condolences to Kathleen and his family.
Ranney was a great man, and I am proud to have known him. Communicating with him was a true joy, and it’s a deep sorrow that he is no longer with us. Ranney will always remain a cherished memory, and I will truly miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.

Ranney was an active member of SIR Branch 35 for many years where he was well known and liked. He and Kathy participated in many hikes with the Hiking Group and made good friends there. They were also regulars at our annual Holiday Party.
We send our sincere condolences to Kathy and her family at this difficult time. Ranney will be missed but well-remembered in our group.

Ranney is my brother-in-law. I always thought of Ranney as a good man who always had room in his heart and compassion for others. I loved his vibrant smile and his entertaining conversations. I found Ranney to be an easy person to like and I respected his honesty and his love for his family. I’m sorry I never got the chance to see him again before he passed. I pray for healing and comfort for his family and all who loved him and will miss him. Rest in peace, Ranney.

Ranney will always be a wonderful memory to me as we remember his great singing of hymns in our Church, along with his ready smile and good natured teasing on a regular basis. We had high-spirited conversations about politics, and all sorts of things. Ranney had great love for his Kathy and his family. It was a delight to know him. He will LONG be remembered with fondness.
