Ralph John Dolinsek's Obituary
John Dolinsek passed away suddenly on December 29, 2017 of a heart attack. John was born in San Francisco, CA April 11, 1949. He was raised in San Mateo, California, by his devoted parents, Julian “Red” Dolinsek an aircraft mechanic and Rose Nettie Dolinsek, a loving homemaker. John served in the Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and completed Technical School Training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas in 1968.John is survived by his loving children, Julia Rose Dolinsek and John Michael Dolinsek both of San Anselmo, CA, and their mother Nelly Dolinsek. He also is survived by his loving sister Mary Ann Harkins of Sacramento. His dear sister Nadine Laurie Tippett predeceased John, but is survived by Laurie’s husband Fred Tippett, and their sons Kyle, Charlie and Matthew Tippett. John is survived by his niece Laurie Shahin and her husband Walid Shahin, and their children Julian and Jaiden Shahin of Colfax, Cafornia; and nephew Scott Harkins and wife Kellie Harkins of Arizona, and their children Tyler, Zachary and McKenna Harkins. John cared deeply for his family and was proud of the many accomplishments of his nieces and nephews and rejoiced over the new arrivals to the family as they came along.John enjoyed world wide travel during his lengthy career with Tyco Corp., (formerly Raychem) and also visited Europe and South America since his retirement in 2011. John shared his love of travel with his children and together they visited Jamaica, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Cozumel as well as wonderful diverse camping trips in California and skiing and snowboarding in Colorado. John’s most recent outing was a Christmas celebration in Union Square San Francisco, a wonderful time together with family. He leaves a legacy of humor, love of the outdoors, and spiritual seeking.Donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which John contributed to.
