Quang Xiet Lim's Obituary
Quang Xiet Lim, 89, was born in Canton, one of the provinces of China on December 23, 1934. He passed away on the evening of Sunday, November 12, 2023 in San Jose, CA.
Quang Xiet Lim moved to Cambodia with his father when he was about 12 or 13 years old, while his mother, older sister, and brother all stayed in China. He grew up in Cambodia and married his wife, Ear Ung, in 1953 (Ear Ung passed away in 2018). He started a business after getting married and later became a successful businessman. After immigrating to the United States in 1992, he went back to Cambodia and China many times to visit his brother and other relatives. He was passionate about helping the poor by visiting underprivileged villages and donating to temples in China and Cambodia.
Quang Xiet Lim is survived by his sister Susan and her husband Lee Ngo; 4 sons Brian and his wife Fen, Kenneth and his wife Nancy, Kevin and his wife Stella, Michael and his wife Phan; 4 daughters Hieng and her husband Mong Ea, Karen, Amy and her husband Yi Ung, Cheng and her husband Khanh Ly; 6 grandsons Chhay and his wife Meesha, Lawrence and his wife Joanne, Tony, Brandon, Stanley, Ryan; 10 granddaughters Anna and her husband Mike Vynhal, Sheueli and her husband Kirk Fraser, Brittany, Michelle, Melanie, Amelie, Tiffany, Samantha, Stephanie, Lianna; 5 great-grandchildren Corinne Chun, Cali Chun, Chase Chun, Paige Vyhnal, Knox Fraser; nephews and other relatives and friends.
