Pui Chung Fung's Obituary
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Tony Pui Chung Fung of San Francisco, on Friday April 19, 2024. Tony was born in Canton, China in 1938 and was raised in Hong Kong. Tony proudly served the Government of Hong Kong from 1962 - 1968.
Tony was sponsored by his sister and brother-in-law to immigrate to the United States in 1968. He adopted his new career as a cook in San Francisco Chinatown. His love for Chinese cuisine was felt by those around him as he was known for his BBQ pork and feeding everyone was his love language.
Tony enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time with family, reading the newspaper, and enjoying a fine drink or cup of coffee. He was a quiet soul but was also a mischievous prankster at times.
Tony is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary; his two children - John Fung married to Leonie, and Cindy married to Brian Anzalone; and his grandchildren - Jaden, Peyton, and Quinn.
