Mary Mercedes Gutierrez in San Francisco. She was the third of 5 children.

friend. Phyllis passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025.
She is survived by her brother, Mike; her 3 children - Margo
(partner: Sonja), David (spouse: Marjorie), and Jessica; and, her 5
grandchildren - Jordan, Joshua, Gabriel, Jeremiah, and MiaBella.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 3 of her

Phyllis met her soon-to-be husband, Robert (Bob), on a radio love
connection show, while she was in high school. They were married 3
years later "On Air" at the KYA radio station. In 2014, she lost her
husband to cancer. She found comfort in spending time with her
grandchildren, painting, playing BINGO, watching old game
shows, doing Duolingo, and getting mani-pedis. She loved the
Giants, The Beatles, and John Travolta. Relationships were also
very important to Phyllis. She treasured her lifelong friendships
with her childhood friends - Rosie, Josi, and Carolyn - and
imagined taking a cruise with them one day, She even enjoyed
meeting and getting to know her clients at work. But, through it all,
her absolute favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family.
Her spirit was very much alive, but her body could not keep up. Her
last days were spent surrounded by family, and they are happy
knowing that she is finally reunited with her one true love, Bob
