Mrs. Starkey was a fantastic influence on hundreds of children growing up in Belmont in the 80’s. Now, middle aged with young children of my own, I owe much of my happiness and success to her. Rest in peace Mrs. Starkey. You’ll live fondly in my memories and I’ll try my best to be a good person and contribute to my community. That is my tribute to your legacy.
Phoebe was a beautiful person – a mother, grandmother, teacher, friend – who left a trail of smiles wherever she went. Her love for life is carried on through her children and grandchildren. I feel lucky to have known her, and even luckier to call her daughter my friend. Love to you and you family.
