Phillip D. Delurgio's Obituary
Phil Delurgio, 45, of Foster City passed away on June 14, 2010 after having surgery to fight brain cancer.He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed skiing and traveling with his friends and family. Phil was always willing to help others and liked to keep things light through humor. His positive outlook on life will be missed by many.Phil helped start two analytical marketing software companies; he was a co-founder of M-Factor and part of the founding team at DemandTec. Phil also led numerous software development and marketing strategy consulting engagements with Booz & Co. at many of the largest CPG manufacturers.He received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1986, followed by an M.B.A in Marketing and Statistics from the University of Chicago in 1994.Phil is survived by his wife Stephanie; his two sons, Nick and Kevin; his mother, Denise; his father, Phil; stepmother, Esther; and three brothers, Jim, Bob, and Marc.A memorial service will be held at Noon on June, 22, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, 194 W. 25th Ave. San Mateo, California, followed by interment and a reception celebrating Phil's life at Skylawn Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Phil's memory to the USC Scholarship Fund or the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Scholarship Fund.
