I’ll remember Uncle Phil as someone who valued honesty and wasn’t afraid to speak it. That meant more than he probably knew. Wishing peace to all who loved him.

There are too many fond memories to only share one. So I guess I’ll start at the beginning.. I might’ve been about three or four years old and you were big and boisterous. Some of the other cousins might’ve been a little bit intimidated by you , but I never was.. I saw through that rough exterior into the big heart you had . . We were buddies ever since.. I thought you were so funny.. and I always secretly hoped I was your favorite
As life went on, your big presence stayed steady throughout my whole life. You were fun and adventurous and would always show up. I wish we had more time together. I’m so happy that I had you as my uncle… and I’m grateful that you will live on through Amanda, Troy, Teresa, Tommy and Tracy, and all your grandkids. You were the best dad and Papa ever, and you were a really great uncle. God bless you .. I’ll miss you forever!

I loved watching him interact with Teddy. Every time I’d bring him for a visit, Phil would perk right up and tell me “Give me my baby” he’d make Teddy laugh with his silly faces. I’ll forever be grateful he got to meet and spend Teddy’s first year of life alongside his papa. Rest easy big boss, I promise to take great care of your boys.
A fun but fond memory from the early 1970's - went to a house party in the West Portal area hosted by Phil and Amanda - they were both gracious and outgoing - it was a great gathering and Phil kept it going while Amanda kept it in check - they were great together as a team - no wonder they were together for 53 years - sorry to hear of Phil's passing and condolences to the family /
