Dr. Pauline (Lee) Mahon's Obituary
Dr. Pauline (Lee) Mahon, age 89, passed away on Friday June 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 21, 1928 in Half Moon Bay California to James and Pauline Mahon. Lee’s passion was education and was an educator for over 65 years. She obtained a Bachelors and Master degree from San Francisco State and a Doctoral degree from the University of San Francisco. She taught in the San Francisco Unified School district, University of Santa Clara, Fielding Graduate University and was still mentoring Doctoral students up until the day she left us. Dr. Lee had an uncanny ability of reaching her students on a deep, positive and personal level. Lee’s love of education was only surpassed by the love for her family, especially her grand nephews and niece. She has taken them on wonderful vacations and even after she was unable to travel, ensured that they still enjoyed great adventures. Lee is survived by her beloved brother James, her nephews Tim and Marty, Tim’s wife Jeni and their children Tommy and Michael, Marty’s wife Stacey and their children Aidan and Avery. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25 at 10:00 am at Skylawn park located on Highway 92 at Skyline Dr.
