Paul Robert Johnson's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Paul Robert Johnson, 57, on October 18, 2021 after returning to his home from a walk.
A native of Redwood City, CA, Paul was born on September 20, 1964. He attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Kennedy Junior High, and was a 1983 graduate of Sequoia High School. He attended Canada College for three years where he majored in music.
In 1986 Paul joined Syntex USA Distribution Services in Palo Alto where he sorted and delivered mail on the Syntex campus for nine years. He subsequently spent 21 years as a Mail Clerk/Courier for Rudolph & Sletten Construction.
Music was his passion. Paul began playing the trumpet in grammar school, but became a percussionist in high school, and with hours of practicing became an accomplished drummer, playing with several groups over the years. He also taught himself to play guitar, keyboards and harmonica, and spent hours writing songs.
Paul is survived by his mother, Carolyn Lyon; his sister Gail (Ken) Thompson; his niece Cassidy and nephew Sawyer.
