Pau Va Long's Obituary
Pau Va Long, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the evening of Tuesday, March 13 in San Francisco, California. He is survived by his wife, Lien; his five daughters, Corina, Yvonne, Jean, Diana, and Tiffany; their husbands, three grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.Pau was born in Vietnam and was a teacher who was dedicated to educating younger generations. He made the journey to the United States in 1979 and passed on the same value of education to his daughters who all graduated from universities. Pau was a prolific writer and maintained a strong circle of friends who appreciated poetry as much as he did. He adored his wife and her cooking very much and enjoyed taking photos of his travels and moments with loved ones. The funeral service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 28 located at Hwy 92 at Skyline Blvd San Mateo, CA 94402. Public viewing will be held in the Pacific Chapel from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., followed by rites according to Buddhist tradition from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. Pau will be laid to rest shortly after.
