Pao Ching Ti's Obituary
Pao Ching Ti passed away peacefully at 9:35 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born, according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, on January 21, 1922 in Wuxi, China. She met her husband, Chieh Hsien Ti, while working at a government office in Shanghai, China. It was love at first sight… at least for her. After some coaxing, Chieh Hsien eventually felt the same and they married in 1942. They moved to Taiwan in 1949 and raised six children. In 1984, in order to be closer to their children, they moved across the Pacific and settled in Union City, CA. Pao Ching dedicated her life to her family. Whether it was cooking elaborate 10 course meals during traditional holidays, knitting sweaters for her grandchildren, or picking out the most auspicious days for important family events, she was always happiest helping her family. Pao Ching is survived by her six children: Chieh Min Stock, Mimi Leung (married to Patrick Leung), Hai Lan (married to Ray Long Guo), Kevin Ti (married to Tammy Hu), Helen Min (married to Yen Jay Min) and Charlene Ting (married to Derek Ting). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Michelle Stock(married to Stu Maschwitz), Diana Locker (married to Josh Locker), Fred Leung (married to Evelyn Leung), Patricia Leung, Edward Leung, Jay Guo, Cathy Guo, Tara Ti, Elliot Thomas Min, Andrew Ting and Anthony Ting; and three great grandchildren: Gunner Maschwitz, Landon Leung and Ryder Leung.
