Mr. Noel Ramos Talan's Obituary
NOEL RAMOS TALAN
Noel was born on October 4, 1963, in the southern part of the Philippines in Basilan. He was the youngest child born to Anselma Ramos and Teodulo Talan.
He was a special child. He was an adorable kid growing up, well-loved by those he encountered, and carried a big smile on his face all the time.
He came to the United States in 1991. He lived with brother Buen’s family in Torrance, California for some years and learned some kitchen skills with the Regional Office Program through the prompting of sister-in-law, Thellie. While in southern California, he worked for some years as a kitchen helper in the university hospital of UCLA until he moved to the Bay Area in 1995 and lived with sister, Amor. He was fortunate to work at the cafeteria department of Seton Medical Center for some fifteen years. He moved to a group home in 2010, under the auspices of Rowena Cruz Diaz while taking on various jobs in the food industry. Noel’s most recent job was working under the San Mateo County, specifically the San Mateo Senior Center. He worked a few days a week in the catering service department and played bingo with the residents of the facility. The residents enjoyed his company, his gentle spirit, and kindness.
Noel joined his Creator on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, while at the Intensive Care Unit at Mills-Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame, California. Noel preceded in death his brothers, Buen and Raul, and sister, Amor.
Go with God, Noel. Rest in His gentle bosom
