Nina Jauw's Obituary
In our hearts, we will always love Nina Jauw, mother of Justin and pups, Sasha, Kira and Olive.Nina was born in Hong Kong on a rainy Wednesday, June 22, 1966 as a beautiful daughter to Jan and Nini and baby sister to Jeffrey and Janie.She studied at the Jakarta International School before going to California to graduate with a degree in Psychology and Business from the College of Notre Dame. Nina moved to Singapore and worked at the Grand Hyatt, before discovering her two passions: Motherhood and philanthropy. These areas consumed her time for the last decade or so.An example of the tireless philanthropist she was, Nina founded the JDH Research Fund at Stanford University which researched brain functions in children with Aspergers. She was also very involved with the Yale Child Studies Centre, Hillsborough Schools Foundation, the Edgewood Centre for Children and Families and the San Francisco Zoo. And of course, her legacy and pride, Justin.Nina leaves behind her beloved 13 year old son, Justin Hong; both her parents; siblings Jeffrey, Janie and Jason; nieces Jessica, Jennifer, Jamie, Amanda and Jillian, and nephew Jonathan.
